Canadian
ADHD Support Groups
Here's a listing of national and provincial ADHD support groups.
I
also have listings of International
ADHD Support Group Links , US
ADHD Support Group Links and Canadian
Mental Health Association Branches. I list the CMHA branches
because they may know of local ADHD support groups or other
ADHD resources in their area. You could also try your local chapter of the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada or the psychiatry department of your local hospital to find an ADD support group near you.
Please note: Adult ADHD coach Pete Quily provides this for informational purposes and does not endorse or recommend any specific group.
If there is no support group in your area, consider starting
an ADHD support group.
National ADHD Support Group
CHADD Canada - Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder
CHADD Canada is a non profit parent run organization that
aims to help support, educate, and ultimately better the lives
of individuals with ADD and those who care for them. They have
chapters in communities across the nation, where meetings
are held. They also sponsor various workshops, presentations
and conferences distributing the latest breakthroughs, and
techniques involved in dealing with ADD.
They have chapters in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. I'm on the board of their Vancouver Chapter.

ADDMeetup.com
"Find
Attention Deficit Disorder Groups Near You. Meet other local
people dealing with ADD and ADHD. Gather to share your experiences,
progress, and thoughts with one another."
The
main site is www.meetup.com It's an informal way for people in a specific area who are
interested in a particular topic to just meet on a monthly
basis in a place like a coffee shop or bar and talk about
their topic of choice. I wouldn't really call it a support
group per se but more like a chat group that's live. Go search
by country then city. They have groups all over the world.
223 ADD meetup groups worldwide.
